About
We are a team of French powerlifters and engineers who volunteer their time to develop a powerlifting app and social network.
Terms of use of StrongFish
When you use this application, whether as a guest or as a registered member, you must observe the following rules. If any of them is not respected, you risk incurring sanctions (such as a warning, a ban, or prosecution).
Terminology
Throughout this document:
- the words "you" and "user" mean any user, logged in or not;
- the words "team", "we", "managers" and "moderators" mean members holding an administrator account, and the employees or owners of Comwork;
- the words "StrongFish", "the application" and "the product" mean all of our code, compiled or interpreted executables and resources hosted by CWCloud on every server reachable at strong-fish.com.
General conduct and security
It is strictly forbidden to:
- inject viruses or other malware;
- interfere with the correct functioning of the application;
- attack the site (denial of service);
- steal or retrieve information from our databases by any means other than the features the application offers;
- use robots or crawlers to alter the values recorded by the application (or for any other reason);
- create a type of account other than those provided for that purpose;
- access services or options that your type of account is not entitled to;
- upload files in a format the application does not support (an executable, for example).
Using a StrongFish account
The following points must be strictly observed:
- you may not create more than one account or profile;
- you must record only real, up-to-date information;
- you must not create a profile for a club or organisation that does not exist, or that you are not responsible for;
- you must not create posts, achievements or clubs that do not exist, or that you are not responsible for;
- you must not give your password or any other personal information to anyone else;
- you must not let anyone else use your account or edit your profile;
- you must not share content unrelated to the subject of the application (powerlifting and strength training);
- the accuracy of the information recorded in training content must be respected.
Respecting the rights of others
The following points must be strictly observed:
- you must not disclose information about a person without their consent, especially where doing so would breach their privacy;
- you must not use abusive or discriminatory language;
- you must not defame an account or file false reports against one;
- you must not harass anyone by sending unwanted messages (spam);
- you must not share posts, achievements, programs or events that do not belong to you, or that you are not responsible for.
Privacy policy
Depending on its nature, information held in the application is not accessible in the same way:
- your contact details and profile information are visible to registered users and visitors when you have made your profile public, and to nobody else otherwise;
- your posts, events and achievements are visible according to the audience you chose for them: everyone, or the members of the club you posted to;
- your training data — your one-rep maxes, the loads computed from them, and the feedback you leave on a set — is visible to you and to the coaches of the club the program belongs to;
- a report you file is readable only by the moderators of the application;
- for security reasons, the IP addresses you connect from are recorded and are visible only to the team.
Responsibilities and disputes
We are not responsible:
- for messages or false information recorded by members;
- in the event of a dispute between two members.
The training programs generated by the application are guidance, not medical or coaching advice: the loads it computes come from the one-rep maxes each member records, and it is up to the member and their coach to judge whether they are appropriate. Train within your ability, and consult a professional where your health is concerned.
The reporting system lets moderators know when something is wrong, and the account and club roles make it clear who is responsible for a given piece of content.
